We are the electrical contractor responsible for the full design and installation of all electrical services to this recently opened 23000 pallet cold store complex with 15 Loading Bay's, offices and work shops.. Situated at the end of Birchin Way, Grimsby, it can also be seen from the A180.
Our customer HSH Cold Stores Ltd has successfully built up there business and after the completion of a 12000 pallet store built in 1997 (for which we provided a full design and installation of all electrical works) found the need to expand.
In 2007 our customer contacted us, requesting our services to help with the design of a 2nd new cold store, after lots of meetings & consultations a final design was agreed upon.
We were awarded the full electrical installation contract and work began late 2007.
A state of the art lighting installation was installed, allowing lighting within the cold store to be dimmed from 400w per fitting to 150w in order to save energy at low usage times, creating massive energy savings, helping the environment and our customer.
We provided a full CCTV system, using the latest technology, which provides protection to all areas, with additional cameras being installed to provide images of loading and unloading of products aiding quality control procedures.
Offices were protected with an addressable fire alarm system, with cold areas, roof voids and loading areas being protected by a extremely efficient Air Sampling system.
This project was completed with the allotted 12 month time scale. |
